2019 New Home Construction and Trends With Rose Quint #633

Aaron Norris is joined this week by Rose Quint. She is the Assistant Vice President for Survey Research with the National Association of Home Builders. She holds a B.S. in Economics and International Business from Old Dominion University as well as a Master’s degree in Economics from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Her responsibilities over NAHB include planning and conducting industry surveys, specifically in the areas of builder sentiment, remodeling, housing affordability, and AD &C financing issues. Quint is also responsible for special research projects.

Aaron and Rose will discuss why she chose to work in the building industry, reasons there are not as many smaller, affordable homes being built, what new homes in 2019 will likely feature, trends that are surprising her as well as new ones she sees on the horizon, features home buyers want to see in their homes, whether or not millennials still want to own a home, energy-efficient features and whether people are willing to pay for them, and much more on the real estate radio show.

Bruce Norris is joined this week by Tom Salomone. Tom is a realtor from Coral Springs, Florida and is the 2016 president of the National Assocation of Realtors. NAR, the voice of real estate, is America’s largest trade association representing over 1 million realtors involved in all aspects of the residential and commercial real estate industries. Tom has been licensed in real estate for more than 40 years. He is the second generation realtor as well as a broker/owner of Real Estate Two Inc., a firm specializing in residential real estate. Over the years Tom has been named realtor of the year multiple times and served the industry in many capacities over his 40-year career. Tom is experienced in both business and sports in order to serve his community through a number of different organizations, including the Boys and Girls Clubs of America. He has been a member of the Chamber of Commerce, a Coral Springs charter school business sponsor. As a water control district supervisor he has coached over 46 sports teams in local city leagues and been a member of the Amateur Athletic Union in the United States Specialty Sports Association. He volunteers with organizations to prevent heart disease and cancer. He attends the St. Andrews Church and is a proud father of two sons, TJ and Bryce and husband to his lovely wife Diana.

Harry Dent of Dent Research Joins Bruce Norris on the Real Estate Radio Show #473

Bruce Norris is joined this week by Harry Dent. Harry is the founder of Dent Research, an economic forecasting firm specializing in demographic trends. His mission is helping people understand change using exciting new research developed from years of hands on business experience. Mr. Dent offers unprecedented and refreshingly understandable tools for seeing the key economic trends that will affect your life, business, and investments over the rest of your lifetime. Mr. Dent is also a best-selling author. In his book The Great Boom Ahead, published in 1992. Mr. Dent stood virtually alone in accurately forecasting the un-anticipated boom of the 1990s and the continued expansion into 2007.

In his new book The Demographic Cliff, he continues to educated audiences about his predictions for the next Great Depression, especially between 2014 and 2019 that he has been forecasting now for 20 years. Mr. Dent is the editor of the Economic and Market Newsletter and has created the HS Dent Financial Advisors Network. Mr. Dent has been interviewed by just about every program possible. He has an MBA from Harvard Business School.
