RE/MAX President Nick Bailey joins Bruce Norris- Part 1

 Nick Bailey oversees all support services provided by RE/MAX, LLC to its expansive network of franchisees and Affiliates, with an unwavering focus on the relationship HQ has with Broker/Owners. Guided by his expert insight into the real estate industry, Nick drives the network’s business growth, professional development and engagement, and global and Canada organizations to ensure Broker/Owners maximize the advantages, tools and services available to them. 

 

Nick rejoined RE/MAX as Chief Customer Officer in September 2019. A licensed real estate broker with 23 years of real estate industry experience, he first joined RE/MAX in 2001 as a management consultant. Within two years, he was promoted to Vice President, Regional Services. During his initial 12-year tenure, he drove tremendous growth by concentrating on franchisee success and relationships. In 2021, Nick was named President. 

 

Nick’s experience includes being a Sr. Vice President at Market Leader, a Vice President at Trulia/Zillow and, most recently, the President and CEO of Century 21. Originally from Wyoming, Nick bought his first investment property as a teen and earned his real estate license at 21. He is a Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager, Accredited Buyer Representative and Certified Distressed Property Expert. Nick holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Montana State University and is a past recipient of the Entrepreneur of the Year Award from the Powell Valley Chamber of Commerce. 

 

Family comes first for Nick, who enjoys traveling, skiing and spending time with his wife and two children. Outside of work, you can find him volunteering in his children’s classrooms, exploring the Colorado mountains and finding adventure in all things.

Lisa Wright, President of Inland Southern California United Way and 211, joined Joey Romero

 Covering both the counties of Riverside and San Bernardino.  As part of United Way and 211, she is committed to fighting for the education, financial stability and housing of every person in the Inland Southern California. She serves as a Board Member with the United Ways of California, member of the Greater Riverside Chamber Government Affairs Committee, Advisory Member of the California Baptist University Jabs School of Business, Chair of the Mergers & Combinations Committee with United Way Worldwide, and member of the United Way Worldwide Business Strategy Taskforce.  

 

She has also been a volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County & Inland Empire, having mentored her little from 3rd grade to first-generation college student.  Prior to joining United Way in early 2016, Lisa was the Executive Director of Philanthropy for Loma Linda University Health and Vice President of Development for two human service organizations in Southern California. 

 

She has a Bachelor of Science in Business / Accounting from the University of Arizona, a Master’s degree from Claremont School of Theology, and completed postgraduate studies in Ethics at Claremont School of Theology. She attained the Certificate in Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) in 2015, and she is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. She routinely speaks at conferences about philanthropy and ethics, faith and philanthropy, nonprofit financial management, and fundraising, and is a new adjunct professor with University of Redlands. In the last year, Lisa was awarded the 2020 Fundraiser of the Year for the Inland Empire (AFP), and 2020 Spirit of the Entrepreneur COVID Hero Award (CSUSB).

 Originally from upstate New York, Dr. Thornberg holds a Ph.D in Business Economics from The Anderson School at UCLA, and a B.S. degree in Business Administration from the State University  of New York at Buffalo.

Christopher Thornberg founded Beacon Economics LLC in 2006.  Dr. Thornberg also became  Director of the UC Riverside School of Business Center for Economic Forecasting and Development and an Adjunct Professor at the School.Prior to launching Beacon Economics, Dr. Thornberg was a senior economist with UCLA’s Anderson Forecast. He previously taught in the MBA program at UCLA’s Anderson School, in the Rady School of Business at UC San Diego, and at Thammasat University in Bangkok, Thailand

An expert in economic and revenue forecasting, regional economics, economic policy, and labor and real estate markets, Dr. Thornberg has consulted for private industry, cities, counties, and public agencies in Los Angeles, San Francisco and the Bay Area, San Diego, the Inland Empire, Seattle, Orange County, Sacramento, Nevada, and other geographies across the nation. Real Estate Tax Strategies with Bill Exeter, CEO The Exeter Group of Companies

 William "Bill" L. Exeter is the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Trust Officer and President for The Exeter Group of Companies.  Bill has been in the banking, trust and fiduciary services industry since 1980.  He began specializing in real estate tax strategies in 1985 with a specialty emphasis in 1031 and 1033 Exchanges as well as Self-Directed IRAs.

Immediately prior to founding The Exeter Group of Companies he served as President and Chief Executive Officer for four years of TransUnion Exchange Corporation (formerly Diversified Exchange Corporation) in San Diego, California and prior to that as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for 13 years of The Chicago Trust Company of California and Chicago Deferred Exchange Corporation of California, its 1031 Exchange subsidiary, in San Diego, California, which were part of the Chicago Title and Trust Family of Companies. 

Bill’s professional experience includes 1031 Exchanges, 1033 Exchanges, title insurance and escrow services, trust company management fiduciary, trust and self-directed retirement account administration and services, including Self-Directed IRAs, trust operations, investment management services, commercial banking, and insurance administration.

Bill graduated from California State University, Los Angeles with a Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting.
